Jake Quicksall joined Cool Planet in 2011 and progressed through leadership roles including Project Manager and Director of Operations where he managed a multidisciplinary team of engineers in conceptualizing, designing, and constructing a first-of-its-kind commercial scale biochar processing plant for Cool Planet. He was promoted to VP, Operations in April of 2018 to lead Cool Planet’s multi-site manufacturing of its soil health technology, Cool Terra.
Prior to serving at Cool Planet, Quicksall progressed through leadership roles at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory for 7 years. Most recently, Quicksall served as a Mechanical Engineer II at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory where he successfully led design, build, and assembly of flight hardware for the Mars Science Laboratory Rover mission to Mars.
Quicksall received his Bachelor of Science and Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
