Most recently, Dr. Dwight Armstrong served as the Chief Executive Officer at National FFA Organization following his role as Chief Operating Officer.
From 1982 to 2000, Armstrong worked with Akey Inc., in Lewisburg, Ohio, where he progressed through various roles from director of nutrition and director of sales to president. The Akey organization was a privately held animal nutrition solutions supplier that served all of the United States. In 2000, the company was sold to Provimi, a public company located in the Netherlands. With Provimi, Armstrong was CEO of North American Nutrition Companies, director of the Americas and vice president of the Global Group. As director of the Americas and Vice president of the Global Group, Armstrong oversaw operational responsibilities for Provimi’s businesses in the Americas, France and Switzerland, and also served as a global innovation leader. He also started his own animal nutrition and agribusiness consulting business, JDA Consulting, LLC.
Amstrong has served on various industry, business, and non-profit organization boards during his career. Prior to his career, Armstrong was an active leader in the National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Organization and earned a BS degree in agriculture from Murray State University, a master’s degree and a PhD in animal science from Purdue University.
